This tank holds approximately 60 gallons of fuel vs. a stock tank 29 gallon capacity. The float's empty position in the S&B Tank is the same as the OEM tank. Since the bottom surface area on the S&B Tank is larger, the 60 Gallon tank will have a greater fuel reserve.
If installing a FASS pump, the Fass system kit comes with a 3' section of of 5/8" hose used to connect the Fass pump (Port "T") to the fuel pickup location on the tank. The TP0064-00 5/8" fitting shown below will allow you to plumb the FASS pump directly into the existing sump port on the S&B tank so no need to buy or install an additional sump or sump kit! This results in a faster, cleaner, easier and less expensive install.
Note: If your truck has a V shaped crossmember connected to the carrier bearing crossmember (see important note in instructions), the S&B Tank will not fit with this in place.

Do you have an Auxiliary Fuel Tank? Read why using these with our tanks will Void the Lifetime Warranty.
WARNING: On S&B and OEM diesel fuel tanks, there are one or more rollover valves. The rollover valve uses a float/weight to close the valve when the float is immersed in fuel. This prevents fuel leakage in the event of a rollover. Gravity feed tanks or electronically controlled feed tanks can overfill the S&B or OEM tank. If/when the tank is overfilled, the rollover valves will prematurely close. Without the required vapor space in the tank, this violates the overfill restriction requirement of 49 CFR 393.76(12)(i). An overfilled tank can lead to a pressurized fuel tank, leaking, and tank failure.
