Product Description
FORD OEM 6.0L V8 ICP (INJECTOR CONTROL PRESSURE) SENSOR
- LATE 2004 AND NEWER
The ICP sensor is one of the most critical parts in PowerStroke HEUI system. It measures your high pressure oil pressures (psi) and feeds that information to your ECM, which then controls the IPR valve to adjust pressure levels to meet demand. They are common failure points, and lead to a high number of running oddities and issues. The pigtail connectors that attach to the sensor are also common failure points. Best to replace them both as part of your periodic maintenance schedule. It's not something you'd do with every oil change, but if you've got a sensor that hasn't been touched in 5-10 years, you may want to consider proactively replacing as a preventative measure. It's simply a critical part.
