If you own a diesel, monitoring EGTs is just smart business. Knowing what the temp levels are inside of the cylinders can help an owner/operator avoid doing serious damage to an expensive diesel engine. This kit will get the job done for you and allow your Edge monitor to accurately display your EGTs (Exhaust Gas Temps).
The kit works with all Edge CS2, CTS2 and CTS3 devices and the expandable design allows you to add other optional "expandable" accessories from Edge Products such as pressure and temp sensors, reverse cameras, etc.
*** This #98620 kit is a re-designed/improved version of the original Edge PN #98603. (EAS Starter Kit EGT Probe) This new version has a 15" pigtail and connector on the EGT probe. That way, IF the EGT probe ever goes bad or simply needs removed it can be quickly and easily unplugged and removed. The old (#98603) unit didn't have a connector near the probe so if you needed to replace or remove the EGT probe, you had to remove the entire cable from the EGT probe to the passenger compartment. The current setup with its modular design enhancement make it a far, far better product.
