Kit # 1 - Basic Alternator Wiring Upgrade - This is the minimum kit you'll need to run a high output alternator with your 7.3L Powerstroke. It includes the following:
- 1/0 Cable from Alternator Mounting Bolt to Passenger Fender as a direct ground
- 1/0 Cable from Alternator to Fuse Block
- 1/0 Cable from Fuse Block to Passenger Battery Positive
- In-Line Fuse Block
- 250 Amp Fuse
- Zip Ties (3)
- 7.3 Basic Wiring Kit Directions
Kit # 2 - Deluxe Alternator Wiring Upgrade - This kit includes everything from Kit # 1 and also adds a 4/0 cable to provide a better connection between the batteries resulting in enhanced load balancing for superior battery life.
Kit # 3 - Deluxe Alternator Wiring Upgrade with Negative Upgrade - This kit includes everything from the first two kits and also adds replacement negative battery cables (including integrated military style terminals), as well as an additional ground to the body on the driver's side.
** Kit # 4 - Ultimate Wiring Upgrade - This kit will include everything from Kit # 1 and also includes the following:
- Fully integrated positive replacement cable (with incorporated industrial grade positive battery terminals). Replacement cable runs from the starter to both batteries including an upgraded 4/0 battery interconnect.
- Replacement negative battery cables with incorporated industrial grade negative battery terminals. (includes an incorporated additional ground to the body on the driver's side)

** IMPORTANT NOTE: Kit #4, the "Ultimate Wiring Upgrade" kit is designed for the 7.3L vehicles listed below that have the starter solenoid located on the passenger fender/near the battery. Be sure to check under your hood!

In later models the system was redesigned to utilize an relay in the cab. If your starter solenoid is NOT mounted under the hood and you'd like to upgrade all your starter, charge and ground cables, the following two items will get you set up very nicely:

2) Link: Starter Cable & Positive Battery Terminal Replacement Package Simply select your desired 2/0 or 3/0 starter cable size and the "None- I already have a separate interconnect" option. (an upgraded 4/0 interconnect cable is included in Kit #3)

7.3L Dual to Single Alternator Conversions - When doing such a conversion, note that you should splice the green wire into a non-constant power source, such as the windshield wiper motor
